Ronald Saffar, DDS, is a board-certified orthodontist and the owner and founder of My Orthodontist, a practice with locations throughout New Jersey, including Deptford Township, Lawrenceville, Bayonne, West New York, East Orange, Cherry Hill, and Patterson, as well as Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Saffar specializes in managing challenging orthodontic cases including patients requiring jaw surgery in addition to conventional orthodontics. By creating beautiful smiles, he’s able to fulfill his passion for making positive changes in people’s lives.

Dr. Saffar earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University School of Medicine in New York City, where he also received additional training in orthodontics at the postgraduate level. Afterward, he stayed at NYU School of Medicine to complete a six-month surgical orthodontics fellowship to subspecialize in surgical orthodontics.

As an active and respected member of the greater dental community, Dr. Saffar is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Mercer County Dental Society, Hudson County Dental Society, and Mid Atlantic Dental Society.

Since he began practicing in 2002, several of Dr. Saffar’s abstracts have been published, and he has lectured at a number of conventions and dental society meetings.

Dr. Saffar makes his home in Belle Mead, New Jersey, with his wife Parissa and their daughter Nikki. When he’s not working or spending time with family and friends, he enjoys exercising, meditating, traveling, skiing, and playing tennis, golf, chess, and piano.

Annabel Cancel, MPH, is the Vice President of Operations at My Orthodontist, where she oversees 10 orthodontic offices across New Jersey/Pennsylvania. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field and advanced degrees in Public Health Education, Annabel is dedicated to optimizing operations, empowering teams, and ensuring exceptional patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, exploring real estate, and continuous personal development.

Ahlam is the VP of Marketing at our company, where she oversees marketing operations and develops strategies that drive growth across all practices. Cross trained in multiple areas of the business, she brings a well rounded perspective that helps connect marketing initiatives with day to day operations. Outside of work, Ahlam enjoys spending time with friends and exploring new cafes and restaurants as a food lover.

Chick is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience in the dental and healthcare industries, specializing in Dental Support Organizations (DSOs). Throughout his career, he has demonstrated proven success in operations, business development, and strategic growth. Chick has held executive roles including CEO and Vice President of Finance for major DSOs in New Jersey. During his tenure as COO of Eastern Dental, he helped expand the organization from 4 to 36 locations over 20 years. Later, as CEO of NuvaSmile, he led an impressive growth initiative, increasing the company’s footprint from 5 to 27 offices in just four and a half years. He holds a degree in Healthcare Administration from West Chester University.

Bhavana Patel is an experienced AR Revenue Manager with a strong background in orthodontic and dental billing. With a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and patient centered service, she oversees all aspects of the accounts receivable process, from insurance verification and claim submission to payment posting and account reconciliation.

Known for her strong organizational skills and commitment to financial integrity, Mrs. Patel plays a vital role in optimizing revenue flow while ensuring patients receive clear and compassionate support with their financial questions. Her deep understanding of insurance processes and revenue cycle management helps reduce delays and improve overall operational efficiency.

Mrs. Patel brings not only technical expertise but also a warm, professional approach to her work, fostering trust and collaboration within both clinical and administrative teams.
